Why I use Aweber
Building a successful email campaign involves many different areas, from design to development. But one of the important areas is distribution, it’s all well and good designing a beautiful newsletter then getting a developer like to me to build it so it responds awesomely (sure I just invented a new word) on any mobile, tablet or desktop device, but what happens when it comes to sending out your template to the thousands or even millions of subscribers who love hearing from you and it does one of the following…
- Doesn’t send to all of them
- Goes directly into their spam/junk folder
- They aren’t even signed up but try and fail because the system is undergoing maintenance again
Any one of them plus more could not only turn away existing subscribers but even new one’s so it’s important to find a sender that you know and trust and having spend a number of years dealing with different email senders like MailChimp, Campaign Monitor or Dotmailer I have picked up an insight of what is needed to help get the best out of your email campaigns.
One of the most important features an email sender must have, having the ability to target new and existing customers with pre-set up templates that allow you to deliver your message directly whenever you want, so if a customer signs up in the middle of the night, you don’t need to get out of bed to welcome them, an automaton email will trigger and welcome them for you. If a customer likes the look of a product on your shop but decides against it, you can send them an automation email reminding them what they chose not to buy and bring them back to complete the sale.
There are many ways you can set up automation in your email campaigns but in today’s world it’s important your provider offers that.
Easy to use
I have used some systems before that send some beautiful newsletters but have lost half my hair in the process pulling it out because I couldn’t understand how there system worked or it was so slow I had read War and Peace twice over before I got an error message saying it had timed out! So having a email sender who’s system is easy to use and is reliable.
Experience in what they do
I love competition and “new kids on the block” as anyone, they offer fresh new ideas and are hungry to impress and succeed but most often the idea hasn’t been fully tested or developed and your left picking the pieces up, having a email sender that has been around for years gives you confidence as they know how to get the job done and will also roll out new features to help keep your business and products strong.
Plays nicely with other tools
Depending on your business you might’ve used a number of tools to get yourself established from having a website with WordPress, Joomla or no CMS system at all (stop reading and go get one!) or a shop with Shopify, Opencart or Magenta it’s important to have an email sender that you can easily connect and help you get new customers and manage your existing one. If your email sender doesn’t support your system and make no attempt to develop it for you, then you need to look elsewhere because they aren’t willing do whats best for your business.
Ultimately I chose Aweber because it did all of the above + more and easily allowed me to sign up, set up my lists and get new customer/followers so I could email and automate emails when I needed to but don’t take my word, click the link here and have a look at a free trial and let me know what you think?
